We’re a small, dedicated team of property professionals who live and work in the communities we serve. With decades of combined experience across Newcastle upon Tyne, Gosforth, Jesmond, Heaton and the Northumberland coast from Tynemouth to Whitley Bay and Cullercoats, we pride ourselves on personal service, local knowledge, and straightforward advice.

Thirty years of North East property experience, with a reputation built on honest advice and genuine client care. Involved in every aspect of our independent family business, from valuations and viewings to building lasting client relationships.

Helen Taylor

director

Helen brings extensive business experience to her role overseeing the strategy and operations of Symonds Taylor. Working behind the scenes, she supports the team so they can focus on delivering the best possible service to every client.

A Gosforth local and English graduate, Kate is taking her first steps in a property career at Symonds Taylor. She’ll be involved across all aspects of the sales process, bringing enthusiasm and a commitment to great client care.

Fraser Cox

Sales Negotiator - Newcastle Office

Fraser joins Symonds Taylor after graduating with a BSc in Real Estate. He’s a High Heaton Local through and through. Fraser is involved in the day-to-day aspects of sales and lettings at the Newcastle Office.

Madeleine Horner

Sales Negotiator - Tynemouth Office

Madeleine covers everything from generating new business and client viewings to sales negotiation. Focused and client-first, she brings energy and care to every stage of the process.

Sales and Lettings Negotiator - Tynemouth Office

Based at our Tynemouth office, Emma is a Modern Languages and Business Graduate. With a background in education governance and compliance. A North Shields local who knows this coastline well, she brings an eye for detail and a genuine commitment to great client care.

We had tried to sell our period home a few years ago, but despite Rob Symonds' best efforts at that time getting prospective buyers through and enthusing them about our home  we were let down by a couple of dubious surveyors being unfairly negative about the house. After a few years renting it out, we went to sell again. Selling a home is always stressful but we felt we would be in good hands from our previous experience, and we were not wrong. We have now been through two sales and a purchase with the team in recent years. They were able to act incredibly quickly on our recent sale, providing an honest well thought out valuation, producing high quality photographs and having multiple viewings prior to listing on Rightmove. Rob is able to find the perfect balance between making sure perspective buyers have enough time to view and ensuring that the viewings aren’t too disruptive. During the conveyancing process Claire was brilliant at making sure both sides were kept up to date with progress and we were able to complete within 3 months.
