Rob Taylor
I began my career in property in 1995 and over the past 30 years I have worked right across the North East, from the city to the Borders. In that time, I have had the privilege of selling everything from period country houses to modern city apartments and I have built up a real depth of knowledge along the way.
As Managing Partner and co-founder of Symonds Taylor, my passion for estate agency has only grown. Leading our team, I am proud that we share the same values: family, service and professionalism. My aim is always to give clients the best possible experience when moving home.

Helen Symonds-Taylor
I have worked in a variety of industries for more than 30 years and bring a broad set of skills to the business. When the opportunity came to create a family venture with Rob, I knew it was the right step and Symonds Taylor was born.
I focus on the operational side of the company, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so that our team can deliver for clients. I also have a particular love of technology, always looking at new ways to make the process of moving home easier and more enjoyable.
Claire Routledge
I started my property career in 2010 and since then I have worked across both sales and lettings for some of the region’s leading agents. Over the years I have built up extensive knowledge of the North East housing market and gained experience managing teams as well as supporting clients.
As Branch Manager at Symonds Taylor, I lead the day-to-day running of our Jesmond office, making sure clients and colleagues alike have the support they need. Newcastle is home for me, so I have a real understanding of the local market and a genuine passion for helping people achieve their moving goals. My focus is on delivering a personal, hands-on service that makes every move as straightforward as possible.

Madeleine Horner
I am a compassionate property professional, dedicated to making sure people have the best possible experience in their property journey, whether renting, buying or selling.
My real estate career began in Sydney, Australia, where I worked as a Lettings Executive before moving into sales. I was fortunate to learn from some of the industry’s top agents while assisting with luxury property sales. That experience gave me a strong grounding in the fast-paced world of real estate and taught me the value of precision, creativity and teamwork.
At Symonds Taylor I combine my background in both lettings and sales with a client-focused approach. I take pride in delivering results efficiently while keeping the process clear and supportive for every client I work with.
